Membership Categories

Gold Membership (for weekend riders) and Silver Membership (for weekday riders) both include the cost of a one hour ride every week. Associate Membership entitles you to riding at the discounted Member’s Prices.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP

Gold Membership includes a weekly ride* on a Saturday or Sunday at either 9.00, 10.15, 11.30 or 2.00.

In addition Gold Members:

• Enjoy a ride or lesson at a guaranteed time on one of our much sought after weekend slots.
• Can use weekly ride to take part free of charge in any of our one hour Short Courses on weekdays or pay discounted additional fee for longer courses.
• Benefit from a 30% discount on all fees.
• Are able to ’convert’ their weekly ride into a private lesson for an additional £20 per hour.
• Make easy monthly payments either by Standing Order or by Credit/Debit Card or take advantage of further discounts by paying annually.
• Have priority over non-members when booking any additional rides.
• Receive regular e-mail updates containing dates and details of Members Events listed in the What’s On at WVS page.
• Can prepare for and participate  in our regular Dressage Competitions during the weekly lesson.
• Benefit from regular free lecture/demonstrations in riding and stable management.
• Have the opportunity to enter the ballot to compete at various Members’ Events including our Annual Summer Horse Show in June, Members’ Show in August, Charity Sponsored Horse Ride in October, Special 2 hour rides etc,
• Can attend a full programme of social events including our fabulous Annual Charity Ball in March.
• Receive a 10% discount on riding clothing and saddlery at Parnaby’s.
• Have priority place on our waiting list for Bespoke and Standard Livery vacancies.

I can hack out on the beautiful common or choose to have a demanding lesson knowing I’ll leave the stables on a high and feeling good about myself. Starting 2 years ago as a beginner, the care and consideration of the staff at WVS has helped me find confidence I didn’t know I had. As a result, I love my riding, I love my Saturdays and I’m sure if I keep up my demanding lessons I may even get to be good at it!”

SILVER MEMBERSHIP

Silver Membership includes a weekly ride* on a  Tuesday-Friday at either 9.00, 10.15, 11.30 or 2.00.
Private Silver Membership includes a weekly private ride or lesson.

In addition Silver Members:

• Benefit from 30% discount on all fees.

For those preferring private hacks or lessons there is a  PRIVATE SILVER MEMBERSHIP option.

*The weekly ride for a Gold and Silver Member can be a one hour Ride, Training Hack or Class Lesson. Private lessons are also available for an additional fee of £20 per hour.

Silver Member Karen writes:

“Although theoretically I should have more time on my hands because I am not working full time I usually find myself rushing around trying to fit everything in. Being a Silver Member means that I know whatever happens I can get to ride every week when I want to and Sarah in the office is very good at changing my ride around if I get stuck. I tend to go away most holidays with my family but it’s nice to know that when I return I’ll be in ‘The Book’ and able to catch up again with my riding friends.”

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate Members do not have an allocated ride time but book rides as and when required and pay special Members rates.

In addition Associate Members:

• Pay special Members discounted rates of up to 30% on all rides and lessons booked.
• Receive priority over non-members when booking any additional rides.
• Receive regular e-mail updates containing dates and details of Members Events listed in the What’s On at WVS page.
• Can prepare for and participate  in our regular Dressage Competitions.
• Regular free lecture/demonstrations in riding and stable management.
• Have the opportunity to enter the ballot to compete at various Members’ Events including our Annual Summer Horse Show in June, Members’ Show in August, Charity Sponsored Horse Ride in October, Special 2 hour rides etc,

“Associate membership is ideal for me because it’s so flexible: I really value being able to ride at different times at weekends and during the week. Plus I love riding different horses regularly – it’s great riding experience, and lovely to get
to know them all. Being able to attend lectures and join in events is fantastic – they are a great complement to the riding – and, of course, the priority booking and discounted rates are a major bonus!”

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

This is designed for people who wish to become a Member of Wimbledon Village Stables but do not wish to ride. Social members are kept informed of all events at the stables by regular e-mails, can attend social events, free lecture/demonstrations and pay non-member rates for any riding activities but with priority booking over non-members. Annual Social Membership is available at £100.

“Social Membership is great for me as I am unable to ride for a while because I am pregnant but I want to keep in touch with everything that is happening at the WVS and I also want to take part in the Stable Management Courses and attend the excellent free lectures and social events the Stables organises.” Sally
