Celebrate VE Day 80th in Style at Wimbledon Village Stables!
Wimbledon Village is set to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Thursday, 8th May 2025, with a series of events including a Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial, live music by the Wandle Concert Band, and the lighting of the VE Day Beacon by the Mayor of Merton. To join in the celebrations, we’re inviting all our riders to dress up in red, white, and blue or don any appropriate costume for your rides. Whether you’re channeling 1940s fashion or sporting Union Jack accessories, let’s make this a memorable occasion.
After the morning rides, we’ll be hosting a Prosecco toast in the yard at lunchtime. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, honor the significance of the day, and enjoy the community spirit that makes our stables so special.
