Wimbledon Village Stables provides horse riding lessons and rides for experienced adult riders only. We are not able to accommodate children, beginners, or novice riders on our horses. Weekend horse riding is reserved exclusively for WVS Members.

If you are an adult beginner, a returning rider building confidence, or looking for children’s lessons, we highly recommend our Equicise horse simulator, which welcomes both adults and children, including complete beginners. Simulator lessons are available Tuesday to Sundays.

If you are an experienced adult rider wishing to book a ridden lesson, please:

General Riding Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Bookings can be made over the phone, via email or in person in the office and full payment is required in advance at the time of booking.
Cancellation policy: Strictly 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a ride, whatever the reason for cancellation or the full fee is charged and regrettably there is no exception for illness.
Approved riding hats and boots with a small heel must be worn to ride. We have a selection which can be borrowed for the duration of your ride or lesson.
Horse riding is an outdoor activity and therefore we ride in all weathers.
The rides leave promptly and riders should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their ride time to allow time for filling in an Assessment Form and for hat and boot fitting if required. It is essential to be honest about your weight and riding ability for your own safety.
If you are running late please telephone the office. If you arrive late and miss your ride it will not be possible to reschedule or for us to offer a refund.
Horse riding is a risk sport. Your choice to ride is voluntary and while we take care to provide suitable and safe horses for our customers, all animals can be unpredictable.
WVS does not accept any responsibility for any items left at the Stables while clients are riding.
WVS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time
