Over 130 party goers enjoyed the most fabulous evening on Saturday at The Star and Garter Ballroom in Putney for the Stables’ 14th Annual Charity Ball…

The new venue proved to be a huge success. We were raising money for the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators and were delighted that the Chief Executive Simon Lee and his wife Alison, as well as our main sponsor Robert Holmes, were able to join us and enjoy the fun.  Over £9,500 was raised in the raffle and silent auction and our MC David Frost conducted a very exciting live auction of a special ride through Wimbledon Common with the Chief keeper, Richard Thompson; the bidding was so keen that eventually Simon agreed to allow multiple winners! Dancing continued into the early hours to the excellent live band, The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

During the evening, the Vivien Colyer Dressage Trophy was presented to the very worthy winner, Susan Anthony, who rode an excellent test on her horse Rory.

There are so many people we would like to thank for making the evening so special:

Karine Torr from Darling magazine who took all the fantastic photos on our Facebook page.  You can email her on info@darlingmagazine.co.uk if you would like  high resolution copies and please check out her excellent magazine – DARLING WIMBLEDON
