We all know how amazing our instructors are but it’s always nice to see it confirmed in writing! Wimbledon Village Stables has become a regular feature in Horse & Hound recently, with instructors Jen, Mojca and Natalija getting mentions for their recent achievements in the dressage arena.

Mojca has been working with Ludo for 18 months, riding successfully in British Dressage competitions at elementary and medium level. The pair recently featured in an April edition of Horse & Hound after scoring 73.32% in the elementary qualifier.  Natalija partners with Smartie and Jen rides Minnie, both competing in British Dressage competitions at novice and elementary level.  Mojca, Jen and Natalija have all qualified for the Petplan Area Festivals, Dressage Masters Semi-Finals and BD Regional Championships.

Jen and Minnie also enjoyed a recent trip to dressage camp where they benefited from a busy weekend of training and test riding which we hope will result in them being selected for the Southern region team

Horse &Hound also covered Minnie’s story about her amazing journey to recovery from grass sickness, normally a fatal disease.  She is one of the few survivors of the illness and her success story has given hope to owners whose horses have been a victim of grass sickness.

When not teaching at WVS, our instructors enjoy furthering the horses’ education as well as their own by regularly training and competing WVS horses at local venues.

Fernanda and Eliza were both placed with Emerald and Treleigh respectively at a Combined Training competition last month, while Kate, Dan and Nadia are training hard for their forthcoming BHS exams.

Part time instructor Sasha has been achieving great results with Handsome Jack, competing in British Showjumping competitions; the pair jumped double clears in her last two outings!
